As dressage is one of the fastest growing European sports, the demand for talented dressage horses has never been greater. In today’s dressage sport, when accuracy and technical merit are no longer enough to earn national and international placings, we need to find those horses that have that additional something, in order to obtain those extra marks.

Unfortunately, those horses that have the correct temperament and athletic ability are very few. A horse that, whilst it may not be so athletic, yet has the correct temperament and mind, will always produce consistent test results. However, the ideal combination is a horse that has athletic ability with a temperament to match.

The horses that we have selected and are displayed on this website, have been chosen collectively for their excellent temperament, athletic ability and correct conformation. As a rider myself, I would much rather train a horse that has the correct attitude to work and has a natural desire to move forward without tension, than to try to train an excessively talented moving horse that has an awkward attitude to work. Obviously the key is to find the correct balance in the combination of both movement and temperament.

As we are viewing horses on a weekly basis, month in month out, it is becoming more evident that so many of the best horses that are for sale in the UK market, are simply not advertised. The majority are sold through contacts and trainers, with no prior advertising. We work closely with those trainers and contacts so that we hear about those horses before anyone else.

We advertise only approximately fifteen horses for sale at any one time, all of which are of exceptional temperament and ability. As one sells, a new horse will be added. This then gives us time to properly assess any horses before we decide to take them, on a basis of quality not quantity.

In the selection of the horses advertised on this site, we have worked closely with some of Europe's top dressage riders and trainers to find a small handful of truly outstanding horses. All of them have been produced professionally and are available for purchase in the UK. For more information on any of the horses advertised on this website please do not hesitate to call us.

Videos, viewings, vettings and x-rays can be arranged upon request on all of the horses currently available for sale.

Although prices may vary between individual horses depending on ability, age and star quality, all of the horses we are selling have been selected for their temperament and ride-ability, whether you are looking for a younger horse, a schoolmaster or a Grand-Prix prospect.
